Testimonials

Phil Evans of Evenlode was recently interviewed in the FSB Thames Valley News magazine and an extract of this interview is featured below:

Evenlode have, in a short space of time, built up a good customer base in the Thames Valley area and have already tackled some very varied work for their clients. For instance, they have repaired a large water chiller, which uses the chilled water to cool a welding gun head for a company that makes body parts for cars.

One of the supermarkets to which they contract needed their emergency shop and car park lighting checked over following an electrical power failure.

"We've also installed duct work to supply air fans and large extract fans, positioned in the roof, for a large clothing retail distribution centre in Stanton Harcourt." says Phil. "This has helped cool the building down considerably, to a more comfortable 20°c. The temperature regularly reached 40°c in the summer months."

One of Evenlode's major contracts for 2001/ 2002 has been the refurbished Oxford Stadium and Sports Complex. The firm was chosen to undertake some of the installation and maintenance on their site. They have also carried out electrical inspection & PAT testing as part of their package.

Evenlode are members of the institute of refrigeration engineers and are both ACRIB registered to handle and dispose of refrigerants in accordance with current waste product legislation. Used refrigerant is now classed as toxic waste and must be disposed of correctly. Both Phil and his team feel that this is a very important issue, and are given to understand, that soon, if engineers are not registered to handle refrigerants, then they will not be able to purchase them through the stockists.

Evenlode offer a complete package consisting of design installation service and sales on all types of air conditioning refrigeration and electrical services, with after sales support.

"We have both become multi-skilled over the years and this stands us in good stead to help out and work with our customers, to meet their needs." explains Phil. "We now have undertaken purchasing and installation of all types of refrigerated display cabinets, cold rooms, icemakers etc. owing to demand from customers such as shopkeepers and the licensed trade."

"It must also not be forgotten that we do carry out design, sale and installation of all types of air conditioning equipment for offices, restaurants, computer rooms etc." adds Phil.

New for this year is the sale and rental of portable air conditioners. The brothers feel strongly that there is a growth area for this type of air conditioning as it is temporary and 100% portable. This type of unit plugs into a 13amp socket and is an ideal way to cool down or heat a room efficiently. They are easy to install and provide a quick solution to the problem
